I have a tray on my dresser with several commercial perfumes. Trouble is, since I’ve begun my journey with essential oils, they all smell so fake. I’ve come to prefer fragrances that are from nature and evoke memories and warm feelings. All of this is available in the form of essential oils.
Today I want to share a few fragrances I created for myself. I make them in tiny batches so I can rotate them and not waste. The neat thing about essential oils is that the possibilities are endless! And, as your collection grows you can experiment with different combinations to fit your mood and create something just your own. I prefer to create my scents in the form of a mist. This means I add my oils to a 2 ounce blue glass bottle and then fill it the rest of the way up with water. To use, I just shake it up and mist myself. I spray them on my skin, my hair, and my clothes. It is light but lasting. If you prefer, you can add the oils to a carrier oil and create a perfume instead. Just put it in a glass roller-ball applicator. But you may find those a little too heavy. In summer, I even put my sprays in the fridge so they are extra refreshing!
Here are my favorite combos:
